EETC K-12 Career Preparation Workshops

Educational Development Plan
The EETC K-12 Career Preparation Program offers a variety of interactive workshops and activities designed to help students explore their interests and abilities in a particular career pathway. Students begin to understand the expectations of the workplace and how to prepare for their future career through establishing an Educational Development Plan to reach their goals. Information about Educational Development Plan is available at www.geneseeisd.org/careertech/edp.htm.

Workshop Summary
In 2006-07, the Regional Chamber provided 275 EETC Workshops to nearly 15,000 students across Genesee County. Several hundred employers and their employees shared their time and expertise about their respective careers with area youth. In 2007-08 the same program is available to area schools.
These services are provided at no cost to the schools during the school
day. The Workshop Summary provides a list of the types of services that are available. A workshop Request Form and Event Support Guidelines document are also posted.
If you are an educator and would like to request our services, please complete the Request Form and send it to amywatts@prodigy.net or call Amy Watts at 810.730.6370 for more information.
