Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce 2008 Mid-Michigan Marketplace

(Flint, Michigan, January 29, 2008) The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce 2008 Mid-Michigan Marketplace takes place on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Perani Arena & Event Center from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their company and products.

Numerous changes have been put in place for this year’s event—we’ve moved our event back to Perani Arena & Event Center and changed the date from Thursday to Saturday so more people can attend. Along with booth savings up to 35%, there is a large exhibition area, a stage for demonstrations or entertainment, and a Food Court located just steps away from all the booths.

Events include:

• A shot contest with Detroit Pistons give-a ways
• Bone Marrow donor screening sponsored by United Way and UAW Region 1-C
• Stage demonstrations by WJRT-TV12 and other area businesses and entertainment
• Canned food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan—2-for-1 entrance to the event if you bring five cans of food items
• Appearances by members of the Flint Phantoms Professional Indoor Football team

The day begins with a kick-off breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. featuring Tim Herman, Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO, who will give a presentation on Regional Chamber activities over the last year and a Downtown Flint Update. Tickets for the breakfast are $25 per person and include entrance to the Marketplace.

Four free tickets are being sent to Regional Chamber members in the next few weeks. Tickets for general public are $5.00, or to benefit the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan guest can bring five canned-food items and receive 2-for-1 entrance.
