Despite Collapse Uptown Committed to Project

(FLINT, MI AUGUST, 23 2007) Sometime after midnight last night the upper structure of the Rowe Building which is currently under construction in downtown Flint collapsed. The developers of the building, Uptown Developments, LLC, have been in downtown Flint since early this morning analyzing the situation.

“We are extremely grateful that there have been no injuries as a result of the incident,” said Phil Shaltz one of the investment partners in Uptown Developments. “We are assessing the situation and as we understand what has occurred we will make information available. Our first step will be to stabilize the building and make the structure safe. When we have accomplished that we will begin repairs and continue construction as soon as possible.

We at Uptown Developments are dedicated to completing the Rowe Building project as quickly as possible, said Shaltz.” We are committed to the project and to the community despite the obvious setback we have experienced. Quit is not in our vocabulary.”
