Students from Crim Running Clubs at six elementary schools
to help dedicate new Northwestern track
(FLINT, MICHIGAN, APRIL 2, 2008) More than 500 students in Flint Community Schools Crim Running Clubs will help christen the newly renovated track at Northwestern Academy's Guy Houston Stadium, G-2138 W. Students in the Crim Running Clubs from Anderson, Carpenter Road, Doyle-Ryder, Eisenhower, Summerfield and Washington elementary schools will participate in the ceremony.
A news conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 with several representatives of organizations that contributed to the new track. The Greater Flint Olympian and CANUSA Association, the Coca Cola Company, the Flint Community Schools and the Flint Athletes for a Better Education are among the financial sponsors. Supporters from the Crim Foundation and the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce also will be attending the news conference.
The Northwestern parents group will host a reception after the dedication in the Wildcat Room in the school.
